Three months after his departure, Jones has returned to the Carrington training complex just to watch academy training sessions.

Despite his departure from the club and ongoing uncertainty about his future in professional football, Jones remains a familiar face at Carrington.

While rumours initially suggested that he might be coaching the Under-18s, it has been clarified that his current role is that of an observer, with no immediate plans for a coaching position.

The former Three Lions defender has been a prominent figure around the academy training ground in recent weeks and the Manchester United academy continues to benefit from his presence.

His presence is seen as an opportunity for these prospects to learn from someone who has accumulated a wealth of knowledge during his successful career.
