Renowned Makeup guru and Entrepreneur, Lucy Wambui, widely known as Phoina Tosha, has finally broken her silence on the disturbing trend of femicide cases in Kenya, shedding light on a pressing issue that has gripped the nation.
In an interview with Kalondu Musyimi, Phoina passionately condemned the heinous killings, asserting that it is fundamentally unjust to strip away someone’s life, regardless of their chosen profession.
With a somber tone, she urged women to exercise vigilance in their interactions, emphasizing the gravity of the current unsettling times.
“Take care of yourselves, know who you are dealing with. These are incredibly scary times. I pray for all of you, please ensure you’re looking out for yourselves,” Phoina advised empathetically, emphasizing the importance of self-awareness and caution.

On the people judging the ladies who had sadly and untimely met their deaths because they were chasing money or like people put it, “a soft life” the hair and makeup guru condemned this noting it was not easy out here.
She pointed out that men, too, engage in similar struggles, firmly asserting that no one’s life should be forfeited due to their pursuit of success.
On a more uplifting note, the beauty mogul shared her excitement for the upcoming year, reflecting on the successes of the previous one.
Beaming with joy, Phoina revealed her accomplishments, including securing an ambassadorial deal—a coveted achievement she had earnestly desired for the year.
