A court in Kerugoya, Kirinyaga County, has allowed police to detain four robbery with violence suspects for six days pending investigations.
The four suspects, two men and two women, who were caught on CCTV violently robbing Kerugoya residents on Monday, October 2 night.
Kerugoya Principal Magistrate Charity Kipkorir Cheruto, in her ruling, said he was persuaded by police’s prayers and allowed the suspects to be held in Kerugoya Police Station until Monday next week.
The four have been identified as; James Murimi, Paul Macharia, Violet Wangechi and Jackline Nyakio.
Residents had raised alarm over the rise of insecurity in the area.
