Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Sherrif Nassir today marked his one year anniversary in office with a busy itinerary involving the inspection of several county establishments and projects in Likoni sub-county.
The first stop was at the newly-constructed County Service Centre in Bofu Ward that is intended to bring county services closer to the public.
Thereafter, the governor, accompanied by area MP Mishi Mboko as well as several MCAs led by area representative Manuari Juma, visited the Likoni School for the Blind.
The Governor’s delegation was received by hundreds of differently-abled children who joined the county boss for a special celebratory lunch in the school dining hall.
The events of the day culminated in the commissioning of MombasaCare, an initiative that brings sixteen thousand families in Mombasa under the cover of NHIF free of charge to the public.
