Kobala Girls Secondary School from Homa Bay County and Highway Secondary School of Nairobi Nounty are in Romania for a training camp and cultural exchange program courtesy of the Romania’s government and the European Union Delegation in Kenya.
Both teams will be trained by the men’s and women’s national football teams in Bucharest.
The squads will also receive football equipment besides getting full kits, jerseys, balls and other merchandise.
The two teams emerged victorious during the inaugural 2024 Europe Day Kenya Football Tournament finals held at Ulinzi Sports Complex last May.
The tournament traversed 4 counties – Marsabit, Homa Bay, Kilifi and Nairobi – where 64 boys and girls teams participated.
During the competition, Cape Media Limited (TV 47, RADIO 47, TV 47 Digital) was the official media partner.
