President William Ruto drove himself from State House to KICC clad in rally gear to officially Flag the 2024 Easter Weekend Safari Rally.
Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Nabwamba who was already at the KICC received that President after he alighted from the car which was not his official presidential vehicle.
The President said the annual prestigious motor racing event comes as a “truly special Easter holiday gift to millions of families to bond over a thrilling spectacle.”
“You really can’t find a rally as tough, compelling, beautiful and rewarding as the one in Kenya,” Ruto added.
The President assured that Kenya has made world-class preparations to provide top-notch racing grounds and fun activities during the shakedown starting today, March 28 to Sunday, March 31. The Kenya Safari Rally is renowned for its challenging terrain and demanding conditions.
The drivers zoom off to the areas of Loldia, Geothermal and Kedong for two rounds for the second round off the competition as finishing the Kasarani Special Stage.
