The Principal Secretary for Internal Security, Dr. Raymond Omollo, on Saturday, September 7 visited Kenyatta High School in Mwatate, Taita Taveta County.
His visit focused on reviewing the security measures in place for schools and strategies to enhance children’s safety.
After visiting the school, PS Omollo proceeded to hold a briefing with the Taita Taveta County Security and Intelligence Committee, led by County Commissioner Josephine Onunga.
The meeting focused on the recent surge in attacks on bodaboda operators, with a commitment from the PS for immediate action to address the concerns and challenges facing the sector in the county.
Thereafter, PS Omollo paid a courtesy call to Governor Andrew Mwadime. During their meeting, they discussed the establishment of new administrative units in the County.
