Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that he cannot offer assistance to his Manchester United counterpart, Erik ten Hag, amidst the turbulence at Old Trafford.
Several reputable UK media outlets reported that Ten Hag had lost the support of half the United dressing room following their 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
English media sources suggested that Manchester United players requested the Dutch manager to reintegrate outcast Jadon Sancho into the squad.

In response, the club banned several journalists from their Tuesday press conference.
During his press conference ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League match at Old Trafford on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, Pochettino was asked for advice on how to handle bloated egos but stated that he had nothing to offer the former Ajax manager.
“We are not capable of giving advice to my colleagues. I think they have experience. I don’t want to talk about what is going on there or in another place because it is not my duty,” Pochettino said.

Both Ten Hag and Pochettino have seen their teams endure shaky starts to the season, with Chelsea appearing to stabilize faster than the Red Devils, although they currently sit lower in the table.
After a hard-fought 3-2 win over Brighton, Chelsea is in 10th place on the Premier League table with 19 points from the opening 14 matches, while United is in seventh place with 24 points, nine behind leaders Arsenal.
