US President Donald Trump has appointed Talk show host and former Law Enforcement officer Dan Bongino as the new Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations FBI.

President Trump expressed his enthusiasm for the appointment, describing Bongino as “a man of incredible love and passion for our Country.”
The new deputy director will serve under Kash Patel, who was recently confirmed by the Senate as the FBI Director.
Unlike Patel’s position, Bongino’s role does not require Senate confirmation.

“Great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice!” Trump wrote on Truth Social, celebrating Bongino’s appointment as a step forward for the agency.
From law enforcement to FBI leadership
Bongino’s career has spanned law enforcement and conservative media.
He previously served as a New York City police officer and a U.S. Secret Service agent, before transitioning into media as a radio host and podcaster.
His show, The Dan Bongino Show, has been one of the most popular conservative podcasts in the country, ranking 56th on Spotify at the time of his appointment.
Trump acknowledged that Bongino is “prepared to give up” his program as he takes on his new law enforcement role.

Bongino’s appointment has already sparked mixed reactions.
Supporters celebrate his law enforcement background, while critics question his transition from media into a leadership role in the FBI.
meanwhile according to NBC News FBI officials have expressed shock over the appointment of the podcaster to the Bureau.
As Bongino steps into this powerful position, all eyes will be on how he influences the agency, particularly under Trump’s leadership
