Police in Rachuonyo North, Homa Bay County, have arrested a robbery suspect who has been reigning terror on residents of the area.
Barnabas Okello was arrested in an operation occasioned by a tip-off from concerned neighbours that he was peddling marijuana and had been spotted brandishing a gun.
Detectives from Rachuonyo North, together with officers from Kendu Bay Police Station, ambushed the 34-year-old suspect at his house in South Kanyaluo, where they arrested him and made some recoveries.
Among the items recovered at his house include; a firearm loaded with four rounds of ammunition, police gear and several rolls of bhang.
Also seized from the house were balaclavas and other camouflage clothings.
