Police in Bunyala, Busia County, are pursuing Edwin Ogolla and Denise Asabu, two men accused of violently assaulting a minor in a horrifying incident that was captured on camera and spread widely on social media.
The suspects are wanted for inflicting serious injuries on the child, who is still recovering from the ordeal.
The assault reportedly occurred three months ago in Musoma area, where the minor lived.
Edwin Ogolla, the child’s uncle, was filmed physically manhandling him, while the minor’s father, Denis Asabu, recorded the violent act with chilling indifference.
The footage, which has ignited public outrage, shows the brutality endured by the young victim, who was left without the immediate medical attention needed to address his injuries.
Detectives handling the case have since gathered witness statements and begun a focused operation to apprehend Ogolla and Asabu.
However, the suspects remain elusive and are believed to have crossed into a neighboring country in a bid to evade arrest.
Authorities have pledged their commitment to pursue every lead, with enhanced cooperation across regional borders aimed at locating and extraditing the two men.
The incident has sparked strong condemnation from child protection organizations and the public alike, as well as renewed calls for stricter laws and enforcement to protect children from abuse.

“I have watched the video, It is very disturbing and sad, the culprits should face the full force of the law” Amos Mutai, another Facebook user demands.
