Police in Lungalunga, Kwale County, have launched a manhunt for robber(s) who invaded the house of an elderly woman before killing her on Sunday, July 7 night.
The lifeless body of the 87-year-old woman was found lying on her bed at Mwololo village.
“In the abominable incident reported by the village chairperson, the elderly woman was found lying dead on her bed with multiple cuts suspected to have been inflicted by a machete, and her only goat stolen by yet-to-be-identified violent robbers,” the police say.
DCI detectives based at Lungalunga have since taken over the matter, and are jointly with Mwereni location authorities combing the area for leads to her killers.
