The Police officer who was accused for allegedly defiling a minor in police cells has been arrested.
The secondary student was brought in by her parents for refusing to attend school and was detained at Kaptumo Police Station.
Constable Jared Okada has been on the run since the incident occurred and has finally been arrested.
Nandi South police boss Peter Mbua confirmed the incident and said that Mbua was spotted on Monday evening at his hide out.
Detectives who were on his trail were able catch up with him

Jared Okada was arraigned before Kapsabet court where he took a plea.
He will remain in police custody for some more days pending further investigations.
OCPD Peter Mbua confirmed that Constable Jared Okada locked the girl inside the police cells after she received her.
When his duty ended, he passed the case to his female colleague who brought the girl out for questioning.
It is when she revealed what she had encountered in the cells with Constable Okada.

The girl said that she had been sexually harassed by the the officer.
