Police in Isebania, Migori County, have seized 423kg of bhang valued at 12.6 million.
The officers, led by Isebania Police Station OCS, conducted an operation in the area that started on Sunday, March 16.
The team raided a godown storage at Tarakwiti village, and recovered 14 sacks full of the banned substance. They were valued at KSh12.69 million.
Evelyn Bhoke, a 23-year-old suspect was arrested.
“Also found were 23 cartons of explosives used in mining sites, 4 drums each weighing 50 Kgs of Cyanide, 2 cartons to wit 8 rolls of detonating wire all of unknown value,” a report filed at Isebania Police Station adds.
