In a major breakthrough, detectives based at the DCI Dagoretti have successfully rescued a seven-year-old boy who was abducted on June 30, 2024, in the Kawangware, Nairobi.
The child was reportedly taken from the vicinity of his father’s church, the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in the Congo area, leaving the clergyman’s family devastated.
“After days of pursuit, detectives based at DCI Kabete successfully rescued a 7-year-old boy and arrested the culprit behind his abduction that took place on June 30, 2024 in Kawangware,” the DCI says.
According to DCI sources, the victim was snatched from outside the church premises as he played with his friends.
After days of relentless pursuit and investigation, the young victim was located in Ruku area of Wangige, a neighboring suburb.
The alleged perpetrator, 33-year-old Juston Musundu, was apprehended at the same location. At the time of his arrest, Musundu was found in possession of various SIM cards and mobile phones that he had used to conceal his tracks and communicate with his accomplices.
