Police rescue more than 15 children from a house in Kayole

Police in Embakasi area, Nairobi County on Monday, February 19 rescued more than 15 children who were being held at a house in Soweto, Kayole.

Police say that a report was made by one Daniel Odongo, a children protection officer in Embakasi Central Constituency, as reported by Citizen Digital.

Odongo is said to have alerted the police of the presence of children in a plot within Nyando area.

Upon raiding the two-roomed plot, police discovered the children and arrested two suspects. The suspects have been identified as Linet Akinyi (Kenyan) and Isaak Mwanjeka (Tanzanian).

Investigations into the incident have began.
