Levi Kones surmises that he has been banned from Rwanda over an online spat with President Paul Kagame.
Speaking on TV47 digital show ‘Unfiltered’, Kones recalled how a post from X (formerly Twitter) might be the reason he will never visit Rwanda.
“I noticed that the President Kagame had put up a tweet thanking his legal team for the removing of term limits,” he recalled.

“I tweeted and said, I hope Mr President sir you will not ruin your legacy by becoming President for life.”
“My imagination is that he must have been on his phone at the moment because he responded.”
“He said, worry more about your own legacy if you have any to worry about.”
Kenyans revolt against Kagame
Kones however did not see the reply immediately as he was travelling to Eldoret.
“When I got to Eldoret, my phone had so many notifications. His reply went viral.”
“People said he is threatening a Kenyan journalist. Kenyans were trolling him the entire time.”
“Local and International news people were calling me asking for a comment.”
