President William Ruto has once again shifted the blame on the opposition outfit Azimio la umoja for hindering the process of the government in trying to better the lives of Kenyans.
In his new years adress the president accused the azimio la umoja coalition lead by Orange Democratic Party Leader Raila Odinga of sabotaging the Kenya Kwanza administration’s bottom up agenda.
The president indicated that there is nothing wrong with challenging government policy’s however
We all have a duty to make sure that the best ideas always prevail in enhancing the well-being of the people and making this nation prosperous and powerful;
“You will agree with me that there is something fundamentally wrong with opposition, without any viable alternatives, whose only purpose is division, conflict, and anarchy; and litigation, sponsored by hostage-taking vested interests, with the sole aim to delay, derail and sabotage the delivery of public programs and defeat public interest.” State President Ruto in his New Years Address to the Nation at the Nakuru State House.
The speech come a day after the Azimio Leader Raila Odinga threatened to lead Kenyans in Mass protests should the government lead by William Ruto fails to Remove the contentious finance ACT.
According to Odinga the 2023 finance ACT is punitive and is unfair to Kenyans who are suffering due to tough economic times.
He also accused the Kenya Kwanza administration of using lies as a tool of governing adding the government has failed to keep its promises to the people.
