President Ruto fires 4 KCC board members

President William Ruto has dismissed four board members of the New Kenya Co-operative Creameries Limited (KCC).

In a special gazette notice dated August 5, 2024, he revoked the appointments of Geoffrey Noah Angwenyi, David Kipkurui Samoei (Rtd), Col. Rukia Rashid, and Elisha Biwot.

Simultaneously, President Ruto appointed Noah Ndemo Nyachae, Rawlynce Bett, Naisula Keko, and Sarah Keino as new members of the Board of Directors.

The new KCC board members will serve from Tuesday, August 6, 2024, until March 9, 2026.

“By the authority vested in me under section 7 (3) of the State Corporations Act, I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces, hereby appoint Noah Ndemo Nyachae, Dr. Rawlynce Bett, Naisula Keko, and Sarah Keino as members of the Board of Directors of the New Kenya Co-operative Creameries Limited. Their terms will commence on August 6, 2024, and continue until March 9, 2026,” the notice stated.

These members were appointed on March 10, 2023, and were scheduled to hold their positions until March 2026.

New KCC has previously been recognized for establishing production lines in Eldoret, Dandora, and Nyahururu.

How many factories does the company operates?

The company operates eight major processing factories, 13 milk cooling plants, and several satellite coolers.

How long did the former manager (Nixon Sigey)served?

The former managing director, Nixon Sigey, served for nine years before retiring. He is praised for modernizing the processing factories, enabling the company to diversify its product range.
