President Ruto: My critics will fail because they lack a clear plan for Kenya’s future

President William Ruto has once again addressed his critics, claiming they aim to divide Kenyans along regional and tribal lines.

He described them as leaderless and lacking a clear plan for the country’s future.

“They will fail, and they will fail miserably,” he stated on Tuesday February 4, 2025, during his tour of the Mandera Teachers’ Training College.

Ruto also accused his critics of lacking an agenda and using divisive politics.

He, along with his deputy Kithure Kindiki and several cabinet secretaries including Aden Duale, emphasized his commitment to ensuring the North-Eastern region receives its fair share of national resources.

At the same time, he assured that the days of neglecting the region were over and vowed to prioritize its development.

“Northern Kenya is as good as any other part of Kenya, and we must ensure access to electricity, water, road networks, and equal treatment for children in this region,” he said.

This week, the President will tour North Eastern counties to promote equitable economic development across the country.

Eldas MP Adan Keynan described the visit as vital, as it provides an opportunity for the President to engage with local residents and launch important development initiatives.

“The visit is important for us in North Eastern because it gives the President a chance to connect with the people and commission key projects,” said Keynan.
