A chilling discovery has led to the arrest of a woman, her four children, and a close friend after the skeletal remains of her husband were found.
Authorities have formally charged 51-year-old Sylvia Mutoba with manslaughter and concealing the death of her husband, George Kalaba.
The case came to light when Kalaba’s older brother, Emmanuel, reported the shocking find to the police.

Following an extensive investigation, police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga confirmed the arrest of all six suspects.
“The police have formally arrested and charged Sylvia Mutoba, wife of the deceased, along with her friend Preteria Mbandama Musela, aged 44, the couple’s children—Wendy Kalaba, 27, Sandra Kalaba, 22, Natasha Kalaba, 19, and a 15-year-old juvenile,” he announced.
The entire group, all residents of Luangwa, in Zambia.
They now face charges of manslaughter and concealing death.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding George Kalaba’s tragic demise.
“The public is reminded that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law,” Hamoonga emphasized.
