Radio47, the fastest-growing radio station in Kenya, has started the year on a high.
The Cape Media Limited owned station has been ranked among the top three national Swahili radio brands in the country, according to a Quarter 4 2024 report by IPSOS.
The report ranks Radio47 at a very strong 3rd position nationally among all the Swahili radio stations, behind only Radio Citizen and Radio Jambo. This rating by IPSOS is in terms of reach and market share.
Overral, Radio47 — launched in March 2023 — has been able to topple traditional power houses in the industry.
Since inception, Radio47 has also won several awards, including the 2023 People’s Choice Radio Host of the Year Award (Mbaruk Mwalimu), Kibali Award for most consistent gospel radio presenter in Kenya in 2024 (Evah Mwalili), and Bronze award at the KUZA Awards 2023.
The radio station is also in the process of unveiling a game-changing, state-of-the-art ultramodern studio, which will coincide with its 2nd anniversary.
