Award-winning Radio47 presenter Evah Mwalili is the most consistent gospel radio presenter in Kenya.
This is according to the 2024 Kibali Awards wherein she was celebrated for her illustrious career and contributions to the gospel ministry.
Sharing lessons soon after bagging the prestigious award, Mwalili attributed her enduring success to her unwavering faith and commitment to excellence.
“I was not expecting it. It is both a blessing and an honour. The acknowledgement of my work is indeed gratifying. I have always believed that there is power in consistency. Hiyo kitu haijawahi kunitoka. This journey has spanned many profoundly impactful years. I am immensely grateful for the abundant grace the Lord has bestowed upon me,” said Mwalili.
Mwalili described the recognition as a manifestation of God’s promises and a celebration of her ministry through her esteemed gospel show, ‘Nuru47’.
“This role extends beyond a simple job; it represents a ministry. When I engage in conversations about preaching and mentoring, I often reference the term “Ligi ya Washindi” which I believe was given to me by God. We often say, “Ligi ya Washindi tukutane Galilee”. Utawaskia watu wakisema mimi ni “mwana ligi”. Sisi, “Wana Ligi”, we do not know defeat,” she said.
She noted that her radio tagline, Ligi ya Washindi, has come full circle, illustrating the profound effect her career has had on her ever-growing audience.
“When it comes to mentoring, I must confess that I am still learning. I frequently meet individuals who share that I have inspired them. They keep notebooks filled with my teachings and sermons, alongside those of Pastor Makanda,” noted Mwalili.
‘Mama Taifa’, as she is affectionately known, went on to express gratitude for the feedback she receives, highlighting the extensive reach of her uplifting radio show.
“There is a profound truth conveyed in Isaiah 61. I have witnessed this repeatedly through the messages I receive, as well as the testimonies from individuals who express gratitude, sharing how God has intervened in their lives. It is this very experience that motivates me daily to be in the studio to ensure that someone receives a transformative word,” she added.
She underscored that one of her greatest milestones is observing her listeners persist in their journeys of faith and transformation.
“Ingelikuwa hakuna impact singekuwa na motisha. The overwhelming feedback and messages we receive, highlighting our achievements over the years, serve as a testament to God’s presence in our endeavours. He is at work and we are progressing in alignment with His purpose,” said Mwalili.
The radio presenter encouraged her ‘Wana Ligi’ followers to remain resolute in their faith, asserting that their path of righteousness shines brightly.
“When I acknowledged the Kibali award, niliandika nikisema “Only God knows what He is doing”. I urge everyone to keep their faith in God. I firmly believe that the path of the righteous grows increasingly brighter. We must remain anchored in our faith and continue to cherish the works He has accomplished in our lives,” said Mwalili.
In addition, she invited Kenyans, drawn from all walks of life, to attend the second edition of her Galilie Declaration Weekend (GDW) initiative, scheduled for December 14, 2024.
“GDW features impactful declarations, as stated in Job 22:28. It is designed as a gathering to make declarations we regularly share on Radio47. I encourage everyone to declare and act upon that word. Mahali nimepafika is a product of declaration and a belief in the word of God. Declare over your lives, sio kila wakati pastor niombee. Read the word of God,” said Mwalili.
Mwalili announced that GDW will be held at the KPCU Building along Haile Selassie Avenue on the 2nd floor, starting at 11am.
“I invite everyone to engage with the word of God. The event is open to all. I welcome you to join us as we declare over our situations and give thanks to God while anticipating the year 2025,” said Mwalili.
Kibali Awards was founded in 2020 and seeks to identify, recognize and empower talents in the gospel industry.
