National NewsPolitics

Embattled Lang’ata Member of Parliament (MP) Jalang’o (real name Phelix Odiwuor) is confident that he is in the good books of Raila Odinga.

Jalang’o spoke in an interview with Willis Raburu on TV47’s entertainment show Wabebe XP, which airs every Friday from 10pm.

“Baba (Raila) knows very well wherever he is, he knows that Jalas is my son. Baba loves me so much,” the lawmaker asserted.

Jalang’o expelled from ODM

Few weeks ago, Jalang’o was among five MPs who were expelled from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) for visiting State House.

The other four MPs are; Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), and Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda.

In an interview on Radio 47 hosted by Emmanuel Mwashumbe and Alex Mwakideu, Jalang’o maintained that he would only leave ODM if Raila said so.

““Nani amekwambia nimefukuzwa kwa chama? Chama ni ya Raila Odinga. Na kama sijapata habari kutoka kwa Raila Amolo Odinga mimi bado ni mtu wa ODM,” the legislator added.

Raila gave me KSh5 million during campaigns- Jalang’o

“Were it not for Baba even my campaigns would have been very hard. I know the big role he played in me being the a Member of Parliament.

“He supported me not only by endorsing me but also financially. Personally he gave me KSh5 million because beating an incumbent MP is not easy,” he narrated.

People surrounding Raila are bad

Jalang’o holds the view that people surrounding Raila are to blame for his absence in Azimio rallies, and by extension their expulsion from the party.

“Today if I know Baba is somewhere himself I will go, but there are people who harbor emotions and If I go there they may harm me,” he added.
