Azimio leader Raila Odinga will on May 24, 2024 deliver a keynote address at the University of Oxford after being invited by Oxford Africa Society.
The Opposition leader, Raila Odinga left the country for United Kingdom on Thursday May 23, 2024 morning.
According to his spokesperson Dennis Onyango, Raila is set to deliver an important address titled, ‘Forging Africa’s Future: A Journey of Resilience and Renewal’, at the University of Oxford.
Raila Odinga was accompanied to the event by Prof. Makau Mutua, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Nyando MP Jared Okello.
”Odinga’s address will feature key themes like political stability, economic growth, equity, democracy and social cohesion.
“He will also highlight stories of resilience, offering insights from his extensive experience in public service and advocacy and also examples of renewal from across Africa,” Onyango said.
The Azimio leader will also talk about his bid for African Union Commission Chairmanship job in his address.
In addition, he will also focus on the continent’s challenges and opportunities and the pivotal role of the leadership in steering Africa towards a future characterized by progress and prosperity.
