Manchester United defender Raphael Varane has indicated that he believes the club will go a long way in the Uefa Champions League despite the poor start.
Varane who has won the Champions League more than United, while playing for Real Madrid says that they have the quality and mentality to win this season’s Champions League.
One would think that United is under some form of curse having lost four of their last Premier League matches and is currently facing a couple of off-pitch troubles and Languishing 10th in the English Premier League.
They lost 4-3 to Bayern Munich in the opening round of Champions League group stage fixtures two weeks ago.
Since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson Manchester United has not gone past the early stages of the Champions League.

Speaking at a press conference, Varane, the Frenchman, admitted that they need to make some changes.
“The competition is difficult, you have to take care of every detail but we have a team of quality of good mentality.
“We have to make some improvements, it was not the start to the season we expected but I still believe we have the quality to compete with the best teams in the world.”
During Varane’s only Champions League campaign at the club, Atletico Madrid eliminated United in the last 16.
“I think the competition is about details and you have to be efficient to win the competition.
“In the last moments, we need more efficiency, it is a low number of occasions we concede goals and we need to create a lot to score.
“That is a reality of top level, you need to be efficient to win trophies. We have the quality in the squad to win competitions. We have to move forward and improve.”
On Tuesday night, United is gearing up to host Galatasaray at Old Trafford, and Erik ten Hag’s team is determined to secure a victory.
This determination stems from their initial Group A defeat to Bayern Munich. The Red Devils enter this European clash following a disappointing 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace at home.
