Rashford out of Southgate’s England squad for the Euro 2024

England’s national team coach, Gareth Southgate, has announced a 33-man England squad that will take part in the 2024 Euro. However, the list seems to have omitted some big names that have previously been his go-to choices for international assignments, among them Marcus Rashford, the star of Manchester United; veteran and vice-captain Jordan Henderson from Ajax; and Raheem Sterling from Chelsea.

Gareth Southgate will have to trim the current extended squad by midnight on June 7, seven days before the start of the tournament. Until then, the Three Lions will play two more preparatory matches. The first match is against Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 3 at St. James’ Park, and the second is four days later against Iceland at Wembley.
