Tanzanian Bongo artist Rayvanny on Monday, December 11, marked one year since he cut links with Diamond Platinum’s WCB Wasafi records.
Rayvanny who is the founder and owner of Next Level Music (NLM) has celebrated one year of freedom, while narrating his success story in the music industry.
According to the Bongo artist, his decision to quit Wasafi was motivated by his desire to be independent, and to offer a helping hand to upcoming artists in the industry.
“It is just natural to move from one level to the next. I reached a stage where I felt I could take the next step and use my experience to support other talented artists,” stated Rayvanny.

He added that in the past one year, he has made positive strides in his music career.
At the same time, he acknowledged that Wasafi Records still remains important to him as it helped in shaping his career.
In addition, he noted that before quitting WCB, he held a meeting with Diamond Platnumz and the two agreed to part ways in a comfortable setting.

“We had a few challenges but we managed to end our professional relationship on a positive note.
“We discussed my departure privately, sitting in the living room one day,” stated Rayvanny.
Meanwhile the NLM founder explained that he had paid Wasafi all the amount they had agreed with Diamond, before he started his own music recording company.
“It’s not something I want to dwell on, but the amount was more than what Harmonize paid Wasafi. We ended things like a family,” he said.

On the other hand, Diamond confirmed Rayvanny’s statement, saying that he received the full amount from him after his departure.
“Actually Rayvanny paid more than Harmonize,” Diamond confirmed.
