Leandro Trossard, who earned the starting position on the left wing over regular Gabriel Martinelli, scored in the 59th minute before making way for Martinelli ten minutes later.

Seizing the opportunity, the 22-year-old Martinelli significantly extended Arsenal’s lead with a quick-fire brace in extra time, scoring in the 94th and 95th minutes.

Two set-piece goals contributed to the tally, along with three well-taken goals on the counter. Arsenal capitalized on Palace’s late crumble, making them pay for their defensive lapses.
