Remcy Don, a popular Kenyan social media influencer and content creator, has sparked  a conversation online after publicly criticising individuals who go extreme lengths to force resemblance with celebrities.

Following  a recent post, Remcy Don expressed his disapproval of the growing trend where people undergo drastic changes and adopt specific styles solely to look like famous personalities.

In his statement, he pointed out that, “It is important to approach the idea of being a celebrity look-alike with authenticity and respect.

“If you’re going to claim to resemble someone famous, ensure you have some tangible qualities or achievements that align with their status.

“It’s about embodying some aspects of the celebrity’s success or lifestyle. Claiming to look like someone while lacking any substantial achievements or means only diminishes the credibility of your claim and can make us all seem like a joke.

“Let’s aim for genuine representation and respect for the celebrities we admire”.

He urged his followers and the public to embrace their unique features and talents instead of trying to mimic someone else’s appearance.
