Renowned Tanzanian Music Video Director, Artist, Producer, and Songwriter, Nic Davie popularly known as Nisher passes on.
His demise on December 12th has sent profound shockwaves not just through the Bongo Flava music scene, but far beyond.
The confirmation of his passing came from Director Nisher’s family, conveyed through a heartfelt message on GeorDavieTv’s Instagram account, a Christian media platform led by his father, GeorDavie.
The family announced the loss of their beloved son and stated that the funeral will be held at the Kisongo residence in Arusha, Tanzania.
While the circumstances surrounding Nisher’s passing remain private, respecting the family’s wishes, a close friend named Gentriz confirmed the scheduled funeral for Saturday.
Nisher’s influence on the Bongo Flava scene was immense. He crafted some of the genre’s most iconic music videos, breathing life into songs like BenPol’s “Jikubali” and “Unanichora,” Baraka the Prince’s “Jichunge,” and the collaborative masterpiece “13” by Young Killer and Fid Q.

His unparalleled ability to encapsulate the essence of music in visually captivating narratives was truly remarkable.
The void left by Nisher’s departure is palpable in the Bongo Flava community.
More than a director, he was a visionary, a friend, and a collaborator. His dedication to music and his craft served as a beacon of inspiration for countless artists and fans.
As the Bongo Flava community mourns the loss of Nisher, his legacy remains vivid in the music videos he created.
Nisher was the firstborn son of the esteemed Arusha Preacher Dr. GeorDavie.
“Familia ya Dr. GeorDavie imethibitisha kutokea kwa msiba huo wa Kijana wao Nisher na kusema msiba unafanyika katika nyumba ya matamko Kisongo Jijini Arusha na kwamba taarifa zaidi zitatolewa baadaye,” Millard Ayo said.
Nisher’s passing comes shortly after the loss of another prominent Bongo Flava artist, Haitham Kim.
