Lang’ata Member of Parliament Felix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, has responded to his viral look-alike, Stanley Mlee.
Stanley recently gained attention on social media due to his striking resemblance to the well-known media personality-turned-politician. The uncanny similarity sparked a wave of conversations among netizens, with many playfully suggesting that Mlee could be Jalang’o’s long-lost twin.
During an interview on the “Iko Nini?” podcast, Jalang’o addressed the viral claims with his signature humor, offering light-hearted advice to Stanley. The MP’s jovial approach not only entertained listeners but also added a personal touch to the ongoing online chatter about his doppelgänger.
WHAT MESSAGE DID JALANG’O GIVE?
“I can tell that gentleman who says we look alike and I’m not helping him, to do what he could be doing if he din’t look like me, that thing he could be doing now to help him, let him do it because resembling someone is not a career.” Jalang’o quipped, brushing off the resemblance as mere coincidence.
The witty response from Jalang’o drew both laughter and support from his fans, who appreciate his ability to maintain a sense of humor despite his busy political career.
Stanley Mlee’s video had circulated widely, capturing the attention of Kenyans online and sparking discussions about his uncanny resemblance to the MP. In response, Jalang’o took to his social media platforms, humorously addressing the situation:
“Do you know why I’m laughing? Does it mean that when you resemble someone, you become their responsibility? If you resembled me in being hardworking, you wouldn’t have done that interview. So, ask yourself, what do you do for a living? Ohh, I look like Jalang’o,” he joked.
However, in an interview with Dr. Ofweneke on “Dr. Ofweneke Tonight” on TV47, Stanley expressed his disappointment with Jalang’o’s response, saying it wasn’t what he had expected from the popular figure.
HOW DID YOU MEET JALANG’O?
When asked about how he first met the Member of Parliament during an interview on “Dr. Ofweneke Tonight” on TV47, Stanley recounted:
“We met during an event where Jalang’o was giving updates on the Luo Festival, and I had attended as the cameraman for CBC Online. He asked me who my mum was and if I was sure I was a Kamba,” he said, mimicking Jalang’o’s mannerisms.
Beyond their striking physical similarities, many have noted that Stanley’s demeanor and expressions closely mirror those of Jalang’o, prompting some to question whether they might be related.
Jalang’o, who has been transparent about his journey from radio host and comedian to Member of Parliament, acknowledged the man’s viral fame with his characteristic openness.
His remarks have sparked further conversation online, with many applauding Jalang’o’s positive attitude and humorous take on the situation. As the online debate continues, it’s evident that Jalang’o remains focused on his political responsibilities while keeping the public entertained with his charismatic personality.
