Rev Lucy Natasha, famously for her stylish dress code has offered a heartfelt glimpse into her life before she became a household name.
Renowned for her striking style and powerful sermons, Natasha recently shared the remarkable story of her journey to prominence.
From a young age, Natasha felt a divine calling towards ministry.
She began preaching at just nine years old, but her early years were marked by personal challenges.
Natasha revealed a pivotal moment in her life when she was healed from a stammering condition, an experience she attributes to a divine encounter.
Speaking to Dr. Ofweneke, she recalled, “I started preaching when I was nine.
I remember when God healed me from stammering; that was my first encounter with God.”
Natasha’s mother had hosted guests who prophesied about her future, and after they prayed for her, her speech impediment vanished.
This healing, she believes, marked the beginning of her impactful ministry.
In addition to her early spiritual experiences, Natasha opened up about her first romantic relationship. While still in primary school, she won an award for being the best speaker.
At a conference, she met a young Japanese boy who became her first boyfriend.
Their relationship blossomed through letter-writing and occasional meetings, but eventually faded as Natasha moved into high school and conferences became less frequent.
Natasha’s journey as a single woman was a period of significant growth and dedication.
She spent over a decade building her ministry and personal brand before marrying Prophet Stanley Carmel three years ago.
Reflecting on her single years, Natasha shared, “I was a single woman for a long time. My journey was many years.
I just got married three years ago, which tells you it was a whole journey of building my ministry.”
She spent twelve years travelling, wrote two books, and amassed a global following, all while remaining focused on her calling.
Despite her success, Natasha faced numerous challenges, including encounters with men who claimed divine visions of marriage.
She remained firm in her values, waiting for a partner who genuinely understood her.
Rev Lucy Natasha found that person in Prophet Stanley Carmel, who resides in Canada.
The couple, though living apart, has been navigating their long-distance marriage with love and commitment.
Natasha also addressed the topic of tattoos, which often sparks debate among Christians.
She views tattoos as a form of art and does not see them as conflicting with her faith. She explained, “A tattoo to me is just art. God does not look at your skin; He searches the hearts of men.”
Natasha’s tattoos, including a star and the phrase “the oracle,” symbolize her journey and mission.
