Gospel artist Alex Apoko, popularly know by his stage name ‘Ringtone’, has alleged that fellow musicians Willy Paul and Bahati do not come through for him in times of need.
“Bahati na Willy Paul siyo marafiki wanaweza kukusaidia wakati wa shida,” Ringtone said in an interview with SPM Buzz.
He termed Willy Paul and Bahati as fake friends because they allegedly deserted him when his bank accounts were frozen recently.
“Nilirudi kwa Mungu nikamwambia pole. Maybe mungu alikuwa anataka anifungie mfereji ya pesa yangu kidogo ndio nisimsahau,” Ringtone said while claiming that a government agency had frozen his bank accounts.
“Kuna wakati nilikuwa nakosa food. Wakati nilikuwa na shida zangu, nilipigia Willy Paul. Hakuchukuwa simu yangu, lakini wakati huwa anasota, huwa anakuja kwangu na ninampea. Huwa anakuja kwangu wakati hana pesa. Ni lesson nimelearn,” he further claimed
In the interview, the gospel artist claimed that he has faced a lot of challenges to an extent that he contemplated suicide.
