Former Kenya Rugby Sevens Player Dennis Ombachi has unveiled the fascinating origin of his moniker, “Roaming Chef,” in a recent social media update.

It was during this epic culinary sojourn that the moniker “Roaming Chef” was born. As Ombachi recalls, “Just before Covid I was moving house to house cooking for clients hence the name ‘Roaming Chef,’ and I really enjoyed myself. Learnt a lot and made some amazing connections.”

But the COVID-era had more surprises in store for Ombachi. It not only fueled his passion for cooking but also ignited two brilliant ideas within him.

First, he ventured into the world of Chilli sauce business, concocting flavors that set taste buds ablaze. Second, he ventured into content creation, using his balcony as a stage for his culinary artistry.

In January 2023, his dedication and talent were officially recognized when he was crowned as the best content creator in Sub-Saharan Africa at the prestigious TikTok Top Creators Awards.
