Roddy Ricch addresses Easter photo drama and son’s autism after calling out by baby mama

Grammy-winning rapper Roddy Ricch is at the center of a heated public exchange with his son’s mother, Allie Kay (Alexandra Kiser), after Easter photos shared on social media sparked a wave of controversy. The rapper, known for keeping his personal life private, was called out by Allie for omitting their son, Kadence Shyla, from a series of Easter family pictures featuring Roddy’s daughter, Navy Moore.

Allie speaks Out

Allie Kay took to her Instagram Stories, tagging Roddy Ricch and accusing him of ignoring their son during the Easter celebrations.

“It’s his Easter too. You must’ve forgot he was there,” she wrote.

Her comments struck a chord with many online, especially when she highlighted the importance of visibility for children with special needs, saying, “Special needs kids deserve to be seen, celebrated, and included.”

Roddy Ricch responds

Roddy Ricch didn’t stay silent. He quickly addressed the situation on his own Instagram story, clarifying that his son was indeed present but didn’t appear in the pictures because of overstimulation.

“Yes, I included my son in the photoshoot of my daughter’s first Easter and the first time in L.A. No, my son did not want to take pictures due to overstimulation. Yes, my son is autistic,” he wrote.

Roddy emphasized that he felt no obligation to publicly explain himself, adding, “I will not be explaining myself to a bunch of people who don’t know me.”

Allie counters his explanation

Just an hour after Roddy’s statement, Allie posted a detailed rebuttal. She denied his version of events, claiming that Roddy never mentioned the photoshoot was strictly for his daughter. She also accused him of contributing to their son’s overstimulation by taking two hours to get a haircut and time for Roddy’s makeup, delaying the shoot.

“All those photos were taken with both kids, but Kadence was left out of the final selection because he wasn’t standing there posing like a robot & instead being himself,” she wrote.

Allie also brought up past grievances, accusing Roddy of sending only a text for Kadence’s birthday, showing up late to his party, and staying briefly. “Yes, I’ve had my son EVERY SINGLE DAY SINCE LAST YEAR regardless of a court order,” she declared. “If you gon’ tell the story, TELL THE WHOLE THING.”

Legal background

In 2024, Roddy and Allie reached a joint custody agreement. Under its terms, Roddy agreed to pay $8,000 in monthly child support and cover the cost of Kadence’s private school, medical bills, special-needs therapy, and extracurricular activities. He also provides an additional $1,000 a month to Allie for transportation-related needs.

This incident shows the emotional and practical complexities of co-parenting, particularly when it involves raising a child with autism. While both parents seem to be navigating the situation with strong emotions and deep personal stakes, airing their grievances online has opened the door to public judgment and commentary.

As the conversation around inclusion, visibility, and responsible co-parenting continues, fans and observers alike are reminded of the very real lives behind celebrity headlines and the importance of compassion and understanding for families raising special needs children.
