New Zealand All Blacks have booked a Rugby World Cup Quarterfinal spot after thrashing Uruguay 73-0.
These results put New Zealand in the position to finish top of Pool A if France loses their match against Italy.
Leicester Fainga’anuku recorded a hat-trick in the second half , while Damian McKenzie and Will Jordan, both putting up impressive performances, scored twice each.
Richie Mo’unga, Cam Roigard, Fletcher Newell, and their fellow substitute Tamaiti Williams also found the back of the net.
New Zealand is set to secure the second spot in Pool A unless France suffers a loss against Italy on Friday, allowing them to top the group.
In the quarter-finals, the All Blacks will face either Ireland or Scotland, who are scheduled to meet in Paris on Saturday, or the defending champions, South Africa.

This was Uruguay’s heaviest match, however, they leave the world stage after displaying an impressive performance against Italy, Namibia, And Italy in the Pool.
Uruguay head coach, Meneses, stated that he would take “a week or two with my family” before determining his future, after eight years with the team.
“We gave everything. It was a tremendous conclusion to our World Cup – not only the play but the passion.
“What will stay with me from this tournament is the incredible sense of sacrifice exhibited by the team. Their willingness to give their all for the shirt and the game is truly admirable.” He emphasised.
On Saturday Wales will take on Georgia in the fourth Pool C match.
