President William Ruto is currently on his return flight to Kenya after a four-day State visit in the United States (U.S).
He departed the super power from the Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Friday evening.
“Thank you President Joe Biden, First Lady Dr Jill Biden and the people of the United States of America. Together, we will make the world a better place for all,” he wrote.
Prior to his departure, the first in command held a meeting with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon in Virginia.
He was accompanied by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, his security advisor Monica Juma and National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah.
“It is our collective responsibility to keep Kenya, the region and Africa safe. That is why we must work together with our allies, including the U.S., to confront criminals and terrorists who deter our economic growth and prosperity,” Ruto said after the meeting.
He held bilateral talks with his counterpart Joe Biden on Thursday, May 23 at the White House prior to a state of the art State dinner organized in his honor.
