President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua on Sunday June 9, 2024 attended Akorino church service in Nakuru County.

The President and his deputy attended the service organised by the Akorino church, dubbed the Akurinu National Thanksgiving Prayer Conference.

The conference brings together Akorino believers from all over the country.

Other Kenya Kwanza leaders including Nakuru governor Susan Kihika also attended the Sunday service with President Ruto.

This is the first time for Ruto and Gachagua to attend the same Sunday service together in over one month.

Meanwhile, the meeting of the two top leaders comes at a time when there is a rift between their supporters over the ‘one man, one vote, one shilling’ conversation.

For instance, leaders allied to the deputy president support the call for a one-man-one-shilling revenue-sharing formula, while President Ruto’s allies insist the formula will be unfair to other regions.

However, despite the alleged rift, President Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua have been insisting that there were no divisions within the Kenya Kwanza government.
