Ruto hosts Polish President before jetting out to Japan

President William Ruto is currently hosting his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda at State House, Nairobi.

Duda, who is on a week-long trip to Africa, is in the country for two days (Monday, February 5 and Tuesday, February 6).

The Polish presidents jetted in the country on Sunday, January 4 alongside his spouse Agata Kornhauser–Duda.

After Kenya, Duda will proceed to Rwanda then Tanzania for a similar two-day state visit.

The delegation of both Duda and Ruto are expected to sign several bilateral agreements.

Also while in the country, Duda will lay a wreath at the Uhuru Gardens National Monument, before meeting with representatives of the Polish community at the ambassador’s residence.

Ruto’s Japan trip

On Tuesday, February 6, President Ruto will then leave the country for an official visit to Japan.

In his maiden trip to Japan as President, Ruto is scheduled to hold talks with Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Tokyo.

Ruto, on Sunday, February 4, while addressing congregants at an interdenominational service, said that he will secure funding for an unspecified KSh160 billion project while in Japan.
