President William Ruto has nominated 11 individuals for the position of Cabinet Secretaries (CSs) as he starts the process of forming a “broad-based” government.
The Head of State re-appointed CSs Kithure Kindiki, Soipan Tuya, Aden Duale, and Alice Wahome to the previously held Ministries.
President Ruto has however reassigned Davis Chirchir to the Ministry of Transport that was previously held by Kipchumba Murkomen.
Rebecca Miano has been appointed to the position of Attorney General, while there is some new entrant to the Cabinet.

Ministry of Health – Dr. Debra Mulongo Barasa
Ministry of Lands – Alice Wahome
Ministry of Education – Julius Migosi Ogamba
Ministry of Defence – Aden Duale
Ministry of Agriculture – Dr Andrew Mwihia Karanja
Ministry of Environment – Soipan Tuya
Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation – Eric Muriithi Muga
Minsitry of Roads – Davis Chirchir
Ministry of ICT – Dr Margaret Nyambura Ndungu
Attorney General – Rebecca Miano
As the Constitution dictates, these nominees are subject for consideration and approval by the National Assembly, before being appointed officially.
“I will be issuing next week a clear roadmap on the assignment that the new Cabinet is going to have, with clear timelines and deliverables for us to harness the tremendous potential that exists in our nation and drive our country to greatness,” the President said.
