President William Ruto will break the record of being a one-term president, this is according to Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
Speaking in Mwingi town when he hosted political delegates from Tharaka Nithi County, Kalonzo said that President Ruto’s administration has initiated policies that are “oppressive” to Kenyans.
The delegates also expressed their concerns, top among them was what they term as arbitrary hiking of taxes that had made living and doing business in Kenya very difficult.
“This early endeavour by concerned citizens not just of Tharaka Nithi and Kitui counties, but across the nation, will ensure that the Kenya Kwanza regime and it’s leadership becomes the first One Term Administration in Kenya,” Kalonzo said during the meeting.
Come 2027 Presidential Election, the former vice president said that he is the best candidate that will unseat President Ruto, and rescue Kenyans from the current “oppressive” leadership.
“The leaders expressed their confidence in our movement and pledged to do all they could to popularise the party ahead of the 2027 general election,” he added.
His sentiments were seconded by the party’s Secretary General Shakila Abdalla, Kitui Women Rep Irene Kasalu and Matungulu MP Stephen Mule.
