Nominated Member of Parliament Sabina Chege has said that if Azimio had elected her as Raila Odinga’s running mate, the presidential victory could be theirs.
The MP made the remarks during the Jubilee Leadership meeting held in Nairobi on 20th December 2023.
At the same time, she also acknowledged how difficult it was to campaign for Raila in Mt.Kenya region.
”I was named among the potential presidential running mates. I wish they had given me that chance, we would have won,” she said.
“I did not vie because I wanted to fight for the party. Despite us being called names and being told to go sell Raila which was very difficult, you saw me in the entire country.”
Sabina promised that she will not stop fighting for Jubilee despite all court cases and intimidations.
The Azimio Coalition had selected Narc Party leader Martha Karua as the Deputy President in the 2022 general elections.
However they lost the elections to the Kenya Kwanza team.
