Saboti MP claims arrest of Controller of Budget is political witch-hunt

Saboti member of parliament (MP) Caleb Amisi has defended the Controller of Budget Margaret Nyakang’o, terming her arrest as a political witch hunt.

In a statement posted on his X account on Tuesday, December 5, Amisi noted that Nyakango is being persecuted for being in the forefront in the fight against corruption.

“Arresting and charging the controller of budget Margaret Nyakang’o is nothing but political persecution.

“She has been at the forefront of fighting corruption that is deeply embedded in both the central government and county government.
