Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja and Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino have dragged their online spat that begun on Sunday 18th to Wednesday 20th.
Babu asked Sakaja on Monday to prove that the children actually got the lunch food they ought to as per the school feeding programme.
“The people of Nairobi are not stupid. They will not be distracted with sideshows. The questions are direct and simple,” said Babu via a social media post on X (formerly Twitter).
Babu’s inquiries on food feeding programme
“Did the children of Nairobi get food from the county today? Yes or No?” Asked Babu.
He further inquired, “Did parents pay for food that was not delivered? Yes or No?”
Sakaja rebutted by posting a video of learners from different schools around Nairobi feeding.
The schools captured in the video are Kangemi Primary School, Olympic Primary School, Peter Kibukosya Primary School, Chandaria Primary School, and Toi Primary School.
Sakaja responds
Sakaja captioned the video, “Watoi Wadishi, Washibe, Wasome Lazima iWork.”
A pupil from Peter Kibukosya Primary School is captured thanking the governor for availing cheap food for her.
“Ninashukuru sana Sakaja kwa kutuletea chakula ya bei rahisi,” she said.
Consequently, a lady captured serving food says that the lunch provided by the county government is the only meal the pupils have in a day.

Babu responded to the video with a previous video of utterances by lawyer Miguna Miguna on Sakaja.
“Sakaja got Es, he failed completely at the University. This man says he studied Actuarial Science at the University of Nairobi,” alleged Miguna.
“Yet the best job he could get was a driver of PNU, now it makes sense. This man is not capable of working,” Miguna further claimed.
Babu captioned the video,” Just feed our kids but don’t move close to them.”
