Nairobi City County Governor Johnson Sakaja has tipped National Super League side Nairobi United Football Club to show resilience with great performances that will see them gain maiden promotion to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League next season.
Sakaja has reaffirmed his commitment for talent development in the county and pledged maximum support to ensure the team achieved its goals.
While issuing a rallying call to Nairobians to support the team, he delivered a message of good-will as he unveiled the team’s new playing kit and other equipments that would steer their performances in the NSL to greater heights.
Governor Sakaja also cleared the team’s outstanding winning allowances amounting to KSH 1.2m
Nairobi United is currently second the NSL standings on 31 points,just one point behind leaders APS Bomet.
Former Harambee Stars midfielder Nicholas Muyoti has taken was also unveiled on Friday as the new head coach and his first game in charge will be against Mulley Children Family on Saturday at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.
