Salasya: Teachers, bankers can make good wives for me because they’re very busy

Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya now says he would like a wife who is very busy with her own career.

He was speaking during TV47’s This Friday With Betty at 9pm with renown media personality Betty Kyallo.

Salasya was amused by overwhelming internet searches from his fans inquiring about his wife, net worth, his whereabouts and so on.

He was candid enough to admit that finding a good woman to marry in his capacity as an elected politician was very tough.

“First of all ladies should understand that being submissive is Biblical. It has become very difficult for me to marry because ladies nowadays want to stay with you all the time.

“I do not want my wife to stay in Nairobi with me. I want her to stay upcountry. Here, in Nairobi I am always moving around because of my job,” Salasya explained.

The first-time lawmaker cracked up Kyallo when he began listing certain careers from which he would prefer a wife since she will always be very busy.

“Some people were advising to marry either a teacher, banker, because they are always very busy. I want someone like that who is very busy so that they will not stress me. Someone like that does not have time to send me messages all the time,” he added, chuckling.

Salasya reiterated his commitment his marry three wives, claiming he could afford to fund their lifestyles.

“As a first time MP for now you know I have to buy a house, car all these basic things. So my payslip for now is not looking very good but it is because I am buying all those things. In future, I will have settled down.”

Barely a week ago, he took to his social media pages, saying the cold season was about to force him to marry his first wife.

“Hii baridi inaanza kunilazimisha to start thinking of getting one woman this year. (This cold season is forcing me to think of marrying one wife this year and another next year).”
