Salvation Army Kenya East Territory and in particular the Nairobi Central Temple Soldiers have raised concerns over corruption and mismanagement of church investments by top leadership.
Speaking during a press briefing on Sunday January 5, 2025, the church members called for the resignation of Arthur Lord and other top leaders in the finance department.
“These are among the issues on demand to be addressed by Col. Daniel Kiama the territorial commander no more no less!
1. Revocation of the contract agreement of the Nairobi Central Complex Stalls 2.
2. Return of the church car (Prado KBV 505U), which was taken from the church without any information to the church, about its whereabouts or why it was taken away,” read part of the statement.
At the same time, the S.A soldiers outlined what they termed irreducible minimums to the Salvation Army Kenya East Territory Leadership.
If their demands are not met, then no targets should be sent to Nairobi Central Temple 2, no self-denial will be collected and no harvest payments will be expected from Nairobi Central Temple.
“Every financial communication to Nairobi Central Temple should and must be communicated to us by the lawyer as our leaders chose that route,” read part of the statement.
