Mugithii artiste Samuel Muchoki, widely known as Samidoh, has taken to social media to share his joy and pride as his daughter.
Shirleen Muchoki, graduated from high school in the United States.
The Kikuyu musician expressed deep emotions in a touching tribute dedicated to his teen daughter.
“My daughter, child of my youth, you were born shortly after I exited my teenage years. It was a very confusing time for me.
I didn’t know whether to go back to school, to feed you, or to fend for myself. Ours has been a journey in which we have seen each other grow,” Samidoh wrote, reflecting on their shared journey.
Accompanied by his estranged wife, Edday Nderitu, Samidoh celebrated Shirleen’s milestone achievement with heartfelt words of encouragement.
“Today, I am very proud of you. Seeing you graduate from high school – this! I wouldn’t have missed it for anything in the world.
My girl, I wish you greatness. Go and conquer because the world is all yours. Congratulations!!” he expressed warmly.
In addition to celebrating Shirleen’s graduation, Samidoh also marked her birthday with a special message.
“As you turn a year older, I wish you a Happy Birthday. Thank you for making Daddy proud. 👏❤️” he captioned alongside a photo of them together, radiating happiness and pride.
The artist’s heartfelt tribute and celebration of family milestones resonated deeply with his followers, who flooded the comments with congratulatory messages and well-wishes for Shirleen’s future endeavours.
Samidoh’s dedication to his daughter’s achievements touched many people given his wife left Kenya when the couple were not seeing eye to eye.
Despite their disagreements, the bond between a father and his child inspired many especially those in blended families.
