With Chelsea Keen on offloading Romelu Lukaku at the end of this summer, the Belgian has dropped hints at joining some notable names in the Lucrative Saudia Arabia Professional Football League.

Chelsea wants £38m release clause triggered to approve Romelu Lukaku’s exit this summer.

However, Lukaku has been linked to several major Italian clubs, including Antonio Conte’s Napoli.

Speaking during an interview with HLN, Lukaku stated his desire to head to the Middle East adding that even European Clubs are aware that many footballers have been leaving for Saudi.

“Mark my words, as European top clubs know: Saudi Arabia is Coming ” Stated Lukaku.

“Saudi Arabia wouldn’t stop me. The level will only rise there. To a much higher level than many people think”.

“More and more footballers will tend to play there, as Saudi Arabia is coming for sure”, Romelu told HLN.

“It was intense last year, as for two days my mind was split: ‘I am going, I am not going’. In the end I was a bit scared I think… but I believe they’re coming”.

“You already see that in boxing, golf, Formula 1…”.

Lukaku had been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League last summer, but doubts arose at the time due to the level of football in the country, with the Belgian insisting he was ‘scared for a moment’. 

He Joined Chelsea in 2021 at the tune of  £97.m, However, he has been away on a loan at AS Roma.
